HOTEL TERMS & CONDITIONS

Your reservation is guaranteed until the day of arrival. After that time, it will no longer be guaranteed, and the room may be reassigned.

The 
hotel has the right to cancel your reservation if we do not receive the Pre-Payment Deposit. We will send you a cancellation confirmation via email immediately after cancelling your booking.

The hotel reserves the right not to accept reservations made in error by third party software systems, or that do not meet the terms of sale specified by hotel software systems.

We believe the children are our future, but you still have to be 18 years old to make a reservation.

Is it really you? A valid photo ID is required upon check-in for security purposes.

All requests to reserve a room must include the first and last name of all adults occupying the room and a valid credit card for a guarantee of arrival

Our room rates are always awesome, and they are subject to change based on time of year and demand.

All rooms are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate, which is already included within our room rates. 

In the eventuality of an overbooking, the hotel reserves the right to cancel your reservation with full refund or book to an alternate property up to the same cost.

The hotel does not accept any ancillary charges.

Guests who are unable to attend are requested to book in accordance to the rate plan terms and conditions.

 
Groups & Corporate Bookings

Group trips are fun! When booking, please keep maximum occupancy rules in mind.

Got babies? We’ve got several travel cots that are available upon request, subject to availability. Please request in advance to avoid disappointment.

Group Bookings may be asked for a £100 pre-authorisation on the card at point of check-in. This is not a charge on your card, but a pre-authorisation used in the event of damage. 

Contracted Group Terms & Conditions shall apply.


Please Note: 

Immediate termination of the rental agreement is possible if: 

More guests stay in the room than agreed.

Excessive noise is made in the evening hours or at night (this is classified from 22:00 to 08:00)

Sub-letting the accommodation, you have reserved in your name (or giving it to other people) is strictly prohibited. The number of people residing in the accommodation should be the same as confirmed in the

booking. Accommodation for additional guests may be requested through the hotel reception.

Violence or threatening behaviour towards our team members.

A £50 charge for each additional guest (adult) per night will be charged. We reserve the right to cancel any reservation, without refund, if an unconfirmed number of people stay overnight in the property.

The 
George Street Hotel is located within the heart of Oxford City Centre. All our guests are asked to respect the property and privacy of the neighbours and to not make any excessive noise between the hours of 22:00 and 08:00. This rule is applied as per the local legislation guidelines so any late and loud partying is not, unfortunately, permitted.

George
 Street Hotel is not responsible for lost or forgotten personal things and we are unable to send items by post. Items not collected or claimed will be disposed of after 14 days

Early Check In subject to availability and must be 
confirmed by reception. Guest requiring early morning check in are invited to reserve rooms from the previous night to ensure availability. Our housekeeping team will always work tirelessly to turn around rooms swiftly so we are ready for your arrival. Should you arrive before 3pm and your room is not ready, we can happily store your luggage, allowing you the freedom to explore and enjoy Oxford and its Mystical Dreaming Spires!

Accessibility or Special Needs

Guests requiring assistance are requested to inform the 
hotel in advance of their stay so we can ascertain how best to support and make your stay more comfortable.

Extending Your Stay

 After you have booked your stay with us, you can extend your stay (subject to availability) by simply contacting our reception team prior to arrival. If you are already staying with us and you would like to stay longer, please let us know at least 24 hours before your check- out date. We will always do our best to accommodate your new plans and this can include relocating you to our sister property should this be necessary.


Housekeeping

Housekeeping teams operate daily between 9am and 3pm only. Outside of this, should you require any changes for the next day please inform our reception team. Additional refreshments are available for collection from reception. Should you require additional towels, etc these can be collected from the reception desk. Should your room be marked DND, our Housekeeping team will attempt to clean on the next available day. Linen changes are conducted every second day for in house guests. 


Damages Policy

During your stay, the accommodation and all equipment and furniture should be treated with care and kept in order. Immediate notification to 
hotel staff will be expected of any damages or breakages in the. You (The Guest) are financially responsible for any damage to the property and/or its equipment whilst being used. This includes losses caused by you (The Guest) or a third-party negligent actions and behaviour. A summary check will be made of the room soon after check-out. The guest is responsible for any damages or breakages found that are over and above normal wear and tear and usage. In this case, a detailed statement of damage along with an invoice for the repair or replacement cost will be sent by email, which should be paid within 48 hours. A £100 security pre-authorisation shall be taken at point of check-in and released back to your card upon check-out. In the event of smoking/vaping/damages within the room or terrace areas, a £200 penalty per instance shall be charged. 

The 
hotel reserves the right to charge guests cards for damages in line with our reservation policy. Please note, immediate notification after check-out of any damages to, breakages in or issues with the apartment is expected. While we do not normally charge for minor accidental breakages we will charge and debit your card for the full cost of all other breakages, missing items and for the replacement and/or making good of any damage. We may also make a further charge of £100 if you did not report such an occurrence. Additionally, there will be a charge of £100 for soiled bedding, carpets, walls, furnishings, and décor caused by, but not limited to, vomit, food and drink stains, blood, and bed wetting. The hotel will also charge in full for any lost room nights resulting from any such damage and incidents mentioned in these conditions at our hotel published tariff for the day. Some rooms operate a Saniflow toilet system, and extra care is needed in ensuring nothing is disposed of which may cause a blockage. Signs are located by ALL toilets where these are. We advise guests to use bins provided and avoid flushing sanitary products/other items down the toilets.

Prices and Taxes

All rooms are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate, which is already included within our room rates. 


Smoking Policy

The 
George Street Hotel is a Strictly Non-Smoking Property. This applies to both traditional smoking methods and all electronic delivery systems, including vapes, vaporizers, vape pens, hookah pens, electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes or e-cigs), e-pipes, and any variations of the foregoing regardless of the product’s name. Any smoking in the rooms, on balconies, communal areas or strong lingering smoking scents in rooms will result in a disappointed look and a £200 room cleaning fee. At the check-in time, you will be asked to sign a document that you agree to a £400 fine if traces of smoking are found. We therefore ask guests wishing to smoke to do so before coming back to the property.

Smoking represents a fire hazard that can put other guests and our team members lives at risk. As such, all occupants of the offending room will also be asked to vacate their room and the 
hotel premises but will be charged for the booked stay and any further nights that the room cannot be used due to smoke contamination. In addition, where necessary, charges for the dry cleaning of curtains and carpet will be liable to guest or person who booked the room.   

Alcohol Policy

The good news is, we know you’re hear to have fun and we want you to have the best experience in Oxford. We simply ask you to enjoy sensibly without putting yourself or other guests at risk!


Parking Policy

As a city centre 
hotel we are unable to offer parking for guests, however we are pleased to point you in the right direction. Details of local third-party parking facilities are available on our website or from our fantastic reception team. 

Pet Policy

Are we a pet friendly property? Sadly, we do not permit pets other than service dogs. Guests are advised to make alternative arrangements for pets prior to arrival.


Hotel Liability 
The 
reservation is offered under our standard hotel terms and conditions whereby the hotel liability is limited to a maximum value of twenty-five pounds. The hotel accepts no liability for damages, loss, theft or accidents caused by guests within the property.

Guest Safety Policy

As part of our commitment to guest safety, employees will not disclose the identity, room number or presence of a guest to anyone other than appropriate authorities. CCTV Safety cameras are used throughout the premises, and anyone on our property may be recorded. CCTV is monitored for safety and security of both guests and our team members. If required we will provide copies of the footage to the authorities when needed. Balcony Access – Our executive floor rooms all feature a balcony for you to enjoy and take in Oxford. Children should be accompanied at all times and not left unattended. Mezzanine – We have a central mezzanine inside the 
hotel which allows natural light to all floors. Guests are prohibited from leaning over for safety reasons. Children should be accompanied by adults at all times.

Respect

Naturally we want everyone to feel safe and enjoy their time here, whether guests or staff. Our team members work to ensure all our guests have a wonderful experience during their stay and have your interests at heart. The 
hotel operates a zero tolerance towards violence and abusive behaviour towards our staff. In the unlikely event that this happens, our policy is to inform the authorities and guests would be asked to leave the property immediately without refund. We reserve the right to prosecute in such instances.

Personal Information & GDPR

Your personal information will be stored by the 
hotel in line with our GDPR policy and used exclusively for communicating with you regarding your reservation, marketing & as and when requested by authorities. We do not share information with third party companies other than our hotel software vendors, which is to support the use of providing a service to our guests.
